Michele has more than 29 years of experience in the Transportation Demand Management field, including forming and managing Transportation Management Associations, working with Boards of Directors, conducting research projects, and providing training and education. She has experience organizing large-scale surveys and implementing commuter programs that encourage employees to consider alternatives to driving alone. Michele has also developed shuttle programs for TMAs, employers, and communities, including planning and route design, implementing ticketing and tracking technologies, and monitoring operations. She has worked on the development of user-friendly websites, and with designers to create engaging marketing materials. During her 10 years as the Program Manager for the Connecticut Rural Transit Assistance Program, Michele organized an annual conference and a bus “Roadeo” driving competition and safety event. She worked to develop a unique shared central dispatch call center for Councils on Aging in four communities and has been responsible for launching new technology initiatives at TransAction Associates.
