National Bike Month in May once again saw the weather starting to warm up and lots of people starting to get active! First established in 1956, Bike Month was used as a way of celebrating biking. It touted the health benefits associated with cycling and encouraged people to just give it a try.
To celebrate this May, TransAction Associates hosted a month-long commuter challenge called “Bike to Anywhere.” To participate, bikers could ride to work, to do errands, or even just for fun.
Riders at participating locations logged their bike trips in the Commute Calendar at eCommuter.org. Everyone who entered trips was eligible to enter a prize drawing to win gift cards, bike gear, and more.
